Booking, cancellation & accessibility

These policies apply to every Aperture Experiences reservation — shootouts, workshops, portfolio intensives, the Business of Photography workshop, and model signups. Questions? Email hello@apertureexperiences.com.

Reservations & payment

Spots are reserved by completing registration and payment through our secure Stripe checkout. Capacity is intentionally limited and dates typically sell out, so a spot is only held once payment is complete. A Stripe receipt is emailed to you automatically.

Cancellations, refunds & transfers

Because each experience is a fully produced event with limited capacity — models, styling, lighting, and crew booked in advance — cancellations and refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. When there is room, we will always offer to transfer your spot to another date. To request a cancellation or transfer, email us as early as possible and we'll work with you.

Weather

Experiences run rain or shine. If weather affects an outdoor concept, we adapt — sometimes that means we turn it into a rain shoot. We only reschedule in the rare case of conditions that make the shoot genuinely unsafe, and we'll contact registered guests directly if that happens.

What's included

Your registration covers the produced shooting environment for that experience: professional models, styled sets, professional lighting, creative direction, and on-set coordination. Each experience page lists exactly what to expect, what to bring, and the image-usage terms for that format. Travel, lodging, meals, and camera gear are not included — these are single-location experiences at our Denver studio, photospace.

Image usage & model releases

Image-usage rights vary by experience and are listed on each experience page. In general, portfolio and personal promotional use is included with a model release; commercial resale, paid advertising, stock licensing, or third-party client use requires separate written approval.

Model program

The $20 model fee reserves your spot as a subject at a shoot and includes live coaching and delivery of professionally edited images afterward. Model spots don't consume photographer capacity. Under-18 participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. See the Models page for details.

Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to explore, compare, and book our experiences. This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 AA where practical: keyboard navigation, visible focus states, respect for reduced-motion preferences, semantic structure, and descriptive alternative text. If you use assistive technology and hit a barrier — on the site or at an experience — email hello@apertureexperiences.com and we'll help directly and fix the issue.
