Built Like a Production.

Taught Like a Workshop.

Aperture Experiences Workshops are guided photography experiences built around professional models, styled concepts, controlled lighting, and real-time instruction. Each workshop gives photographers the chance to learn how strong images are created from the inside: how the light is built, how the model is directed, how the scene is shaped, and how the final frame becomes portfolio-worthy. This is hands-on education for photographers who want more than theory and more structure than a casual shootout.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Instructor-led education in a fully produced shooting environment
  • Professional lighting setups, styled scenes, and working models
  • A balance of demonstration, explanation, and hands-on shooting
  • Small-group rotations designed for real practice, not crowd chaos
  • Direct guidance on lighting, posing, composition, and model direction

WORKSHOP FLOW

  • Arrival, check-in, and creative briefing
  • Lighting and concept overview
  • Instructor demonstration with live model direction
  • Guided shooting rotations through each setup
  • Real-time feedback, adjustments, and technique refinement
  • Wrap-up, image-use review, and optional networking

WHAT YOU LEAVE WITH

  • A stronger working knowledge of lighting, posing, and production flow
  • 15–40 strong new images, depending on shooting style and pace
  • 3–5 distinct looks or setups for your portfolio
  • Repeatable lighting concepts you can use in your own shoots
  • More confidence directing models, shaping scenes, and working on set
  • Content suitable for Instagram, websites, client decks, and portfolio updates

WHAT TO BRING

  • Camera body: DSLR or mirrorless
  • Lenses: 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, or similar portrait/fashion range
  • Fully charged batteries, 2–3 minimum
  • Empty memory cards, at least 64GB recommended
  • Optional: laptop for tethering or image review
  • No additional lighting gear required

  • Photographers who understand basic camera settings and want better results
  • Beginners ready for guided, hands-on experience with models and lighting
  • Intermediate shooters looking to improve direction, consistency, and polish
  • Photographers building stronger fashion, lifestyle, branding, or commercial portfolios
  • Creatives who want a structured environment instead of a casual meetup

NOT IDEAL FOR

  • First-time camera users who are not yet comfortable with exposure basics
  • Photographers looking for a lecture-only classroom experience
  • Anyone expecting unlimited one-on-one shooting time
  • Attendees who want to bring their own full production plan or control the set
  • People looking for an unstructured social shoot

Creative Direction & Production

  • Pre-designed workshop concepts and moodboards
  • Professional styling direction, including wardrobe, hair, and makeup when applicable
  • Controlled lighting designed for the specific theme of the workshop
  • Instructor-led posing, movement, and scene development
  • A polished production environment built to help photographers learn by doing
  • This is not a casual meetup. It is a guided, educational production experience.

HOW SHOOTING WORKS

  • Photographers rotate through each set in small groups
  • Each participant gets dedicated time to shoot within the workshop structure
  • The instructor explains the setup, then guides refinement as you shoot
  • Models are directed, but photographers are encouraged to practice direction too
  • The environment is organized to avoid crowding, confusion, and wasted time
  • You will learn not only how to capture the image, but how the image was built

IMAGE USAGE

  • Portfolio and social media usage included
  • Website and self-promotion usage allowed
  • Model release included for approved personal promotional use
  • Commercial brand resale, paid advertising, stock licensing, or third-party client usage requires separate written approval
  • Credit guidelines may apply depending on the workshop, model, stylist, and production team
